Related party transactions
Since 1 December 2019, there have been no related party transaction with entities with joint control of, or significant influence over, BAWAG. Historic related party transactions can be viewed in the respective sections of the annual reports.
COVID-19-Maßnahmen
BAWAG Group is offering products for small businesses, start-ups, etc. on a national level. In this way, the bank also supports smaller companies and enables access to finance for financially weaker ones. For example, the bank offers microloans starting from EUR 5,000 and also supports customers in obtaining suitable financing through advisory services and credit campaigns with external partners.
Product safety
In terms of product safety for end customers, we continuously train our employees in sales & advisory functions on regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, IDD, etc.) and product requirements/knowledge in order to meet European standards. The know-how is also continuously evaluated and documented with further training points per employee. As soon as an employee does not have sufficient training points, the authorization to sell is withdrawn from that employee and training measures are applied (this is also required by the MiFID II and IDD regulations). All measures and procedures are defined in the bank's guidelines available on the intranet site.
